At Fleetware, we think it’s important to play our part in the global effort to increase equality and the quality of life for the millions of people who are much less fortunate than us. So, every month, we set aside a percentage of our subscription income to be donated to various causes.
We use an organisation called B1G1 which ensures that 100% of our giving goes towards the causes of our choice.
So, in June we supplied:
- 5 eyecare solutions for children in need.
- 25 bottles of eyedrops to individuals from lower socio-economic groups in Indonesia.
A New Vision For Those In Need
In Tanzania, nearly 1 million people are visually impaired, and more than 100,000 people are blind. Most of these cases could be treated or even cured. But for many, access to proper eye care remains a challenge. Children with disabilities are particularly vulnerable, with over half unable to attend school. Vision problems can severely limit a child’s ability to learn, grow, and achieve their full potential.
Taking Preventative Measures
We were also able to help individuals from lower socio-economic groups in Indonesia. Eye drops are used to treat irritations and infections that could become blinding conditions if left untreated. These individuals lack the knowledge to treat eye problems or lack access to affordable medical care. A bottle of eye drops is a preventative measure to arrest the development of eye problems which could become something that is both costly and tragic. These simple yet powerful interventions are life changing.
