Reduce tyre maintenance costs and improve road safety using Fleetware’s truck tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), which provides real-time tyre pressure and temperature tracking, in-cab alerts, and intelligent insights.

Tyre Hero introduces a truly complete TPMS solution to all industries including the high productivity heavy vehicle market, with support for over 200 tyres and both in-cab and cloud based alerts. The Tyre Hero tyre pressure monitoring system also features powerful algorithms to rapidly identify escalating tyre issues.

Key Benefits Of Tyre Pressure
Monitoring Systems

Reduce Maintenance

Fleetware’s technology makes tyre and wheel management easy. Commercial vehicles with under-inflated tyres are inefficient due to greater rolling resistance and friction. This increases fuel consumption and carbon emissions and also reduces the time between services. Tyre pressure monitoring ensures maximum tyre life and greater time required between schedules servicing.

Improve Safety

The Tyre Hero system features powerful algorithms to rapidly identify escalating tyre issues. The driver is alerted to stop well before the vehicle’s handling, braking and stability is affected. If Tyre Hero detects rapid pressure loss, high temperature levels, or high pressure it immediately communicates a Critical Alert to both the driver and your fleet management office.

Improve Productivity

Incorrectly inflated tyres don’t just increase the risk of an accident or breakdown, they reduce lifespan and increase fuel consumption. Ensuring optimal tyre pressure across your fleet means you won’t have to invest in as many replacement tyres, and your vehicles will be off the road for less time.

Reduce Emissions

Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems can reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. This not only saves your company money, it reduces your carbon footprint – and important consideration at a time when clients consider businesses’ green credentials as part of the decision-making process.

What You Can Achieve With
Tyre Pressure Monitoring

This ensures:

  • Maximise vehicle uptime
  • Reduce fuel, tyre and maintenance costs
  • Improve road safety for everyone
  • Lower environmental impact – reducing wastage of tyres and amount of particulate from under-inflated tyres, getting more life out of tyres

Our system’s reporting functions save time on safety inspections by allowing you to download all the data you need at a moment’s notice.

Under Inflated tyres can cause your vehicles to use more fuel, with the difference being up to two per cent. Our system ensures your vehicles’ tyres are alway at optimum pressure.

Time spent on the side of the road waiting for a tow is time wasted. It also costs money in towing and repairs that could have been avoided. Our tyre pressure monitoring system helps to minimise tyre blow-outs and other problems.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why monitor tyres?

Tyre expenditure is the 3rd to 4th biggest line item on the P&L and represents 10% to 12% of a fleet’s operating costs, yet tyre management takes up 25% of a company’s time. Tyres also impact the biggest cost on the P&L, which is fuel and has the greatest environmental impact.Tyre breakdown is the number one cause of vehicle breakdowns, downtime & loss of productivity.

How many tyres can Tyre Hero monitor?

In a single TPMS Kit, Tyre Hero can monitor up to 224 tyres.

Can monitoring tyre pressures and temperatures improve safety?

Absolutely. A reported 40% of heavy vehicle road traffic accidents are caused by tyre failure, whether that be inadequate inflation or non-impact fire caused by wheel bearing issues. The implementation of a live TPMS system will significantly reduce the occurrence of both tyre failures and wheel-end fires.

Is the Tyre Hero system hard to install?

The installation of the TPMS Link, Router and relays should be installed by a qualified auto-electrician. However, the TPMS sensors can be installed by yourself or a tyre fitter. We offer two types of sensors; Internal which are strapped around the wheel rim underneath the tyre, and External which are easily screwed on to the tyre valve stem.

What type of TPMS sensor should I use?

This all depends on the number of tyres on your vehicles and how often you expect they will require maintenance. A big benefit of External TPMS sensors is that they are very easy to install, so are preferable for vehicles with a large amount of tyres such as a Road Train. However, Internal TPMS sensors are generally more secure and can provide more accurate temperature data, but are also more expensive. We will assess your fleet and provide you with the best option based on your requirements.
